To configure the ROI and set the blob threshold do the following steps:
Press Snapshot to capture an image
Activate Service.Toolbox - Double click on the FindObject tool and select
the Setup panel.
A blob tool must be configured to search in a
specific area on the image called Region of Interest - ROI.
Move the mouse to the centre of the object / area of interest and
read the X and Y coordinates.
Enter the search area coordinates and specify the
delta X and delta Y values.
dX and dY are the width and height of the ROI - the dimensions of
the ROI are given by the reference system
Press Apply and the ROI visualisation is
shown in the image.
If nothings appear the ROI may be set outside the image
Setting threshold
Place the mouse on the object and
read the greyscale (pixel) value.
If the maximum Threshold is set to a higher value
and the minimum to a lower, the Blob tool will find the object.
You can also set minimum and maximum requirements for
the blob area to be located an accepted area. This is normally used to
filter out small areas which is not the object of any interest
Hint : To make the threshold robust against intensity variations
the results from an Intensity may be used as a dynamic threshold
