RadialLineFinder - 36

The tool finds one or more lines using an arcial trace comb (a sector). The trace lines are straight, along the radius as illustrated below.

Setup

Reference - Reference system selection

Trace comb - describing the edge search area

  • Center-x - center x of trace comb
  • Center-y - center y of trace comb
  • Sector angle - angle of trace comb
  • Sector width - width of trace comb
  • Angle step - search in angle step, degrees
  • Radius - radius of the trace comb
  • Radial width - width of the radius

Search criteria

  • Polarity - All transitions | Light to dark | Dark to light
  • Edge threshold - the threshold or sensitivity of the line finder - a lower value means more sensitivity

Advanced

Edge finder
  • Mode - Peak | Threshold. Peak is default. Threshold is only used when Differentiation is set to 0.

Filter

  • Sample step
  • Smooth base - 3 is normally a good value
  • Smooth counter - 1 default - given i pixels
    • The smoothing increasing with higher values
  • Differentiation - More information - see Normalisation
    • 0 - give threshold
    • 1 - 1. order differentiation - the derivative - default normally used
    • 2 - 2. order differentiation
  • Normalisation width
  • Normalisation selector

Line Fit

  • Fit tolerance - points outside tolerance is not accepted
  • Number of good points
  • Search risk (PPM) - 1 default - a lower value will perform more iterations
