HeightMap3D - 111

This tool extracts points from an ordered point cloud, and creates a 2D Height Map from the extracted data.

The intensity values of the generated image correspond to the z value of the points (scaled); the pixel positions are indices into the ordered point cloud's value matrix. No reference systems are involved.

Setup
  • Output image - where to put the height map
  • Min contrast - selection filter for the fourth element of a five-element point cloud
  • Min, Max height (Z) - selection filter on the z value. Intensity values in the output image are scaled so that 0 corresponds to Min and 255 corresponds to Max.

Visualisation

(None)

Results

Rows Rows in point cloud matrix and output image
Cols Columns in point cloud matrix and output image
Points Number of points used in generating output image
Statistics Percentage of points used from point cloud
