ImageConverter - 55
The Image Converter is used to convert color images to standard scorpion images.

The following conversions are supported:

  • Color to H - Hue
  • Color to S - Saturation
  • Color to I - Intensity

The most used conversion is Color to Intensity, which converts the image to a standard black and white image.

The image below shows how the a color image can be converted to all three image planes.



Setup

Below is the Setup page of the tool where the three conversions are performed. 

Note that the Image Intensity shall be set not active when defined. All toolbox generated images are set this way.


ROI
- the tool's region of interest

  • Reference - Reference system selection
  • Center-X,Y - Center point of the region of interest
  • dX, dY - Length of the ROI in each direction 

The ROI is managed by the buttons

  • Paste - paste the ROI from the image to the scorpion clipboard
  • Copy - copy the ROI to the image from the scorpion clipboard

Point & Click Clipboard Support

The rectangular ROI is defined by four points.


 One point will change the center point.

 

Hue - Setup of the Hue values

  • Transfer to image - Name of the converted image

  • Filter - Setup of the pixel conversion

Saturation - Setup of the Saturation values

  • Transfer to image - Name of the converted image

  • Filter - Setup of the pixel conversion

Intensity - Setup of the Intensity values. A conversion of Color to Intensity converts the image to a standard black and white image.

  • Transfer to image - Name of the converted image

  • Filter - Setup of the pixel conversion
